It’s amazing to watch what is going on around the world today. So many people so scared about the economy and what’s happening around them. It’s really heartbreaking when you hear some of their stories. The encouraging thing is that even many of the people that have taken some gut shots along the way are seeking how to make life better today.

This weekend I had the opportunity to speak at T. Harv Eker’s Extreme Wealth event in Los Angeles. It was a fabulous gathering of 600 people that had an amazing attitude and spirit to press on in today’s tough economic times. It was truly invigorating to be with so many people that saw the silver lining in a dark cloud.

What became really clear to me is that we are all in total control of our destiny. We can make happen what we want to have happen. I’m not trying to say there won’t be bumps along that way, more that these bumps have the ability to alter our course and redefine our futures. Many times the thing we fear the most is the thing that makes us re-evaluate and readjust course.

The human spirit is an amazing thing. The only way we can be truly down is if we allow ourselves to stay down. It is with spirit and will that we can take back control of our lives and live a life of our design. I am extremely grateful to the people I met this weekend. They shared their strength, their enthusiasm and their desires to move forward when some many people seem to be paralyzed. It’s awesome to see people push through the obstacles to reach their hearts desire.
