Accessibility statement

Scott Schilling is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we follow the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act in how we design and write.

What we've built in

  • Semantic headings, landmarks and lists so structure is announced correctly.
  • A visible skip-to-content link and clear keyboard focus indicators.
  • Text and interface colors checked for AA contrast against their backgrounds.
  • Meaningful alternative text on images, and decorative images hidden.
  • Labelled form fields with status messages announced to assistive technology.
  • Motion that respects the operating system “reduce motion” setting.
  • Layouts that reflow to 320px and support zoom up to 200% without loss.

Ongoing work and limitations

Accessibility is continuous, not a one-time project. Third-party embeds and older archived material may not fully meet our standard yet; we review and remediate these as they are identified.
